If you want long term support (10+ years), reliability and want something that you might need to modify easily in terms of software, stick with C++ (Prusa slicer). I think Cura might have more bells and whistles but I see it will not last in the long run as compared to Prusa slicer in the next 10 years or so of the same software version.
